Tom Joseph - CEO/Chairman

Tom Joseph founded Epiphany in 2009 after developing an efficient solar distillation unit that served as the base technology behind Epiphany’s current technology suite. Tom serves as the chief executive officer and was elected as the Chairman of the Board in February of 2018.

Throughout his career, Tom has proven his expertise in engineering design, product development, project management, logistics, sales, and marketing. Tom began his career as a R&D Engineer at the Fluid Mechanics Research Laboratory (FMRL) at Florida State University. While there, Tom’s team was awarded contracts from NASA and the Office of Naval Research. It was during that time that Tom earned his first patent and made a discovery that changed a key aspect of supersonic engine design. Prior to Epiphany, Tom served on the executive team of two start-up companies that both quickly achieved substantial increases in market share, revenue, and operational profit.

Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida State University.


Mike Broeker - COO/Director

Mike Broeker joined Epiphany in May of 2013 as chief operations officer. Mike’s responsibilities include business development, sales, marketing, fundraising, and strategic partnerships. Mike has over 30 years of engineering solutions, business strategy, and business operations experience in engineering and information technology.

Mike began his career as a Systems Engineer at General Motors. He has served in various engineering and leadership roles in the engineering and information technology industries. He served as the VP of Information Technology at Allen Consulting, VP of Engineering Systems at DDI, and was the President of Sierra, a Pittsburgh based solutions provider that serviced oil & gas companies in the Marcellus Shale Basin.

Mike, a Pittsburgh native, holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.


Bill Morrison - CFO

Bill Morrison joined Epiphany in September of 2017 as chief financial officer. Bill has over 30 years of finance experience for and is responsible for leading the company’s financial strategy, accounting, investor relations, and internal audit functions.

Bill has held senior level roles for the Pittsburgh Brewing Company and GENCO, a Pittsburgh based supply chain company that was recently purchased by FedEx. Bill served as the CFO of GENCO while the company achieved substantial growth in revenue, operational profit, and market share, leading to the purchase from FedEx.

Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Franklin University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.


Ret. Lt. Gen. William G. “Gus” Pagonis - Chairman Emeritus

Gen. Pagonis is Chairman Emeritus of Epiphany, having stepped down as Chairman in 2018 after serving seven years in the position. He served a vital role in developing Epiphany into a player in the water treatment industry using his extensive expertise in logistics, management, and leadership.

Gen. Pagonis was the director of logistics during the Gulf War. He received high praise for his logistical achievements, including masterminding the logistics behind Operation Desert Storm. After leaving the Army in 1993, he was elected Executive VP of Logistics for Sears, Roebuck & Co. Gus also served on the boards of GENCO, Direct Allergy, Harvest Partners, and RailAmerica during his career as a logistical expert. He is also a respected author, having written Moving Mountains: Lessons in Leadership and Logistics from the Gulf War.

Gen. Pagonis holds a bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management and an MBA, both from the Pennsylvania State University.


Jim Dietz, P.E. - Director

Jim Dietz began as an engineering consultant to Epiphany in June of 2016. Because of his skills and expertise in the fields of engineering, business strategy, and international operations, he was elected to the board of directors in July of 2017.

Jim began his career as a Project Engineer at Koppers Incorporated, a large global producer of carbon compounds and chemicals for a variety of industries. During his 30-year career at Koppers, Jim held positions of increasing responsibility, including VP of European Operations and VP of Global Business Services and Technology. Jim is also the President of TwoPoint Solutions, a successful engineering consulting firm in the greater Pittsburgh area.

Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an Executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.


Henry Wandrie - Director

Henry Wandrie co-founded Epiphany with Tom Joseph in 2009 when they designed a solar distillation prototype that served as the base technology for Epiphany’s technology suite. Henry has been a board member since the creation of the company and has served as an engineering consultant to the team since Epiphany was created.

Henry began his career as a Manufacturing Engineer at Delphi. Prior to serving on the board, Henry has held various engineering and leadership roles at Honeywell, LISI Group, and Industrial Parts Depot. Henry is currently the president of Diesel Fuel Technologies, a successful manufacturing firm that specializes in diesel injector rebuilding and repair.

Henry holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University.


Bob Auray - Advisor

Bob Auray joined the Epiphany board of directors in August of 2018. Bob has expertise in logistics, finance, and information management.

Bob has held many senior leadership roles at various large and successful corporations during his career. Bob served as the President of Siemens Itron Business Services and of Kuehne + Nagel. From 2006 to 2015 he served as President, CEO, and Vice Chairman of GENCO, a Pittsburgh based supply chain company. During his tenure at GENCO, the business increased revenues by 12% and earnings by over 20% that led to FedEx purchasing the company.

Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA from New York University.
